Afghan citizens used to congregate in order to discuss social problems, but the fear of drones is making it impossible to not be fearful in a group setting. Does the u.s. have the right to kill many innocent civilians in order to take out a terrorist? Clearly we as an armed Force are overstepping our boundaries, so how do we fight terrorism without endangering innocent civilians? What is considered acceptable risk? Unfortunately drones are increasingly used in areas where a war has not been declared. I have even noticed several drones at baseball games and have no idea who they belong to.
At the very least we need to know who owns a particular drone in the United States. If it flies in the United States it should be mandatory that it have a transponder that identifies the aircraft, and that includes drones.
Let me know what you think about your personal freedoms being affected by drones, or civilians being targeted simply because they’re in a group setting in a non declared war.
